Came to this beautiful place for a drink and met the lovely manager Lala who greeted me and told me the history of the place and Filomena . Guillermo ludick was great at the bar. And the vibes felt like something out of the 1900s. Highly recommend

My wife and I had a fantastic time at this restaurant. Thanks to our local friend for the great recommendation – it did not disappoint! We tried some unique dishes like escamoles and tongue tacos, paired with some excellent cocktails. The service was top-notch, and the vibe in the bar area was perfect. Highly recommend!

Mexican colleagues brought me here and it was really fabulous. I’m not sure why it has a four star review. The atmosphere alone puts it over the top. The food was excellent. Every dish we had was quite nice. Even a large vegetarian and vegan options for one of my friends.

A beautiful old world interior. Fabulous drinks a must see in CDMX

We accidentally came across this restaurant when we were going to another one. We were attracted by the unusual entrance and wanted to look inside. The very friendly staff made us want to stay. In addition, it smelled delicious inside and there were many people at the tables. We found a seat by the window. We ate delicious food, admired the interiors, done in a vintage style with great taste. Even the toilet was interesting to visit. A nice quartet played for us. This visit left us with a feeling of joy and delight.

Truly gorgeous building and interior. With the traditional design and feel, we half feared we'd get stuffy, old-school dishes with lackluster preparation. Could this place compete with the all the cutting edge cuisine around town? Oh yes, yes it absolutely can.The aguachile was excellent, the cocktails were damned good and we had no complaints at all. Beautiful and highly recommended.

Excellent place with historic decoration and artefacts. Saw this place on social media and it looked cool because of all the decorations and historical style. You feel like you took a trip back in time to Porfirian times. We were lucky to get a table in the bar area, we were told that the place was fully booked, but we could have a table at the bar before the rush started. We had a couple of drinks and we ordered the Sopes de Tuetano. They were delicious and they come with a small glass of consome with Jerez. Mr. Mau, I think he is the GM, was very nice, he noticed that we were intrigued by the decoration and he gave us a quick tour of the place. Next time I’ll make sure to get a reservation and come for a full meal.

My experience at Filomeno Gran Cantina was amazing at all levels: Food, drinks, service and special attention. Also the building makes you fill in a different era or "Epoca". We had a family event and it turn just perfect, thanks to all the staff. Food was so tasty and good. We share dishes and had: As an appetizer "The Chamorro" probably broke all rules to order a main dish as an appetizer. I thinks is cook for 10 hrs. Is so soft, we enjoyed our chamorro tacos, the hot sauces or salsas are very tasty, and sometimes you know about the place once you try their salsas. We the share the "Milanesa Manchego", has so much flavor, is a little spicy, for me is perfect. Then we had "Tacos of Gaoneras", they're good, but can be better, I will challenge the place to go back to basics, I think the gaonera needs to be flat and plain. We still enjoyed them, don't get me wrong, more the young side of the family. I had then the "Sopa con Albondigas" I love albondigas and I had to try them, flavor was amazing, I can still taste it. The desserts outstanding, we share the "Flan Leonor" very creamy and it was a good size to share. And the "Ocosingo Cheesecake", I had never tasted something like that, I even dream about the dessert. This has never happen to me before. I probably shouldn't be sharing that. I think naming this dessert cheesecake is probably unfair It should be call "Ocosingo Secret or Secreto de Ocosingo". But I still think that if they decide to compete with this dish in a cheesecake competition it will create a new category, and has high potential to nail 1st price in the contest. I will go back soon, I can't wait.
